Merry Christmas everyone from Room 1

The year has flown and Room 1 hopes everyone has a happy holiday and all the best for 2018!

Police helicopter and dog handlers visit our school!

On Monday 11th December we had some visitors to Leabank School. It was very noisy when the helicopter landed and took off from the school field. Phoenix the police dog was very cool and well-behaved. Thank-you to NZ police for coming to our school.

Waharoa Art

We have been busy doing lots of art in celebration of the opening of the Waharoa.

Our school is very lucky to have a beautiful carving to tell our story of our area and our school.  We are going to write about it today.

Making Lemonade

At the end of term 3, one of the reading groups read a book about making lemonade. So some of us brought some lemons to school and Mrs Gray brought some things in too. We made yummy, delicious lemonade together!!!

Being Creative

Patience, Le'ana and Ataahua enjoyed making a castle using the wooden blocks.

Trillian Trek

On Friday the Trillian Trek team visited the school. They gave us a sausage in bread for breakfast and then 6 lucky children we given a bike. Marten's brother was one of the lucky ones. Simon Dallow from TV 1 presented the bikes to the children in the hall.
